This is a Tunnels and Trolls adventure in the Castle Calahony series.

The next day an orcish army appears. The day is clouded, which shields them from the sun they hate. The orcish army comes pouring over one of the Arawa mountain, and streams down the slope. They take up position at some 200 yards distance on the lower slopes of the Arawa mountain. As they get closer you realize with horror that these orcs are all riding on those fell large wolves called Wargs. Whispered rumors spread there are over 2000 orcs, making the army outnumbered.

The Baron orders his army into line of battle opposite the orcish army. The sergeant orders the centurii into square, to oppose the awaited charge of the Wargs. The square has two ranks of 10 men on each side. 2 patrols are held in the middle as a reserve.
Your patrol covers half of the front side of the square. You put 2 rows of javelins in front of your line at a 45 degrees angle. That should keep the wargs at a distance.

Just as the orcs charge riding on the wargs, a trollish host appears out of the slopes of the Buwah. Realizing this army will assault the already outnumbered army from behind, panic strikes some members.

[Each character except the leader must make a L1-SR on Con to resists the panic. Those who fail, try to break the line. Your leader should exercise his authority. For each character trying to break away, he makes a L1-SR on charisma to withhold him. Those who break away run away in panic, and are trampled by the wargs. They are dead.]
If the patrol leader fails the SR, he will be automatically rallied by the sergeant. His next rally attempts, however, will have to be a L2-SRs on chr.

Those who remain await the orcish onslaught.
