You turn around a corner and face a huge sable tooth tiger.

Its monster rating is 15 times the sum of your levels. (if you have three level 1 characters, one level 2 and one level 3, the tiger has MR 15x(3+2+3=8)=120).

The tiger always attacks ONE member of your party. That means, roll up its combat total and apply that versus the combat total and armour of ONE member of your party. Apply any damage to the party member or tiger. After that, all other party members roll their combat total, and you may subtract from the tigers MR.  If you all die, go here.

If you win, the survivers may search the tigers lair or leave the Mountains. In either case your earn skill points for your weapons equal to the MR+60.
