You carefully search the cache for hidden traps but find none. Opening it, you discover a short scroll and an axe.

The scroll reads:

the axe you find here has been to no avail for us, but we wish you luck. We have been ambushed and cruelly murdered while travelling in peace through these moors, and the foolish elves left me for dead. I am not yet, but my life is flowing from me; use this axe to revenge me. Always remember that there is no feeling as good as hate in the eyes of Snff.

You pick up the axe. It is worth 5d+5 in combat. There is a double double in it that doubles your strength for the first 4 combat turns, and a Vorpal Blade for the first 6 combat turns of all fights doubling its die roll. In addition, a Whammy triples its value on the first combat turn of any fight.

This treasure can only be found once.
